How to find your tire size
The right size is printed on your tires and listed by your vehicle's manufacturer. Here is where to look and how to read it before you ask for our best price.

- Tire type. P is passenger; LT is light truck.
- 225
- Section width in millimeters.
- 65
- Aspect ratio: sidewall height as a percentage of the width.
- R
- Radial construction, the most common type.
- 17
- Wheel diameter in inches.
Step 1: Read the size on the sidewall
Look for a code on the side of your current tire, such as P225/65R17. Each part tells you something about the tire.
Step 2: Check the door-jamb placard or owner's manual
Most vehicles have a tire information label on the driver's door jamb. Your owner's manual lists the same recommended size. Use these as the reference, especially if your current tires were not the original size.
Step 3: Send us what you have
TD Tires will confirm the size with you and follow up about availability, pricing and delivery.
- The full size from your sidewall, if you can read it
- Your vehicle's year, make and model if you are not sure
- How you drive, such as daily commuting, towing, off-road or commercial hauling
