What's the difference between commuter and off-road e-bikes?

Commuter e-bikes are built around everyday riding on paved roads and paths, with comfort and practical features in mind. Off-road e-bikes are intended for suitable unpaved routes and trails, usually with more aggressive tires and suspension. Rules about where e-bikes may be ridden vary by location.

How far can an electric bike travel?

It depends on the battery, motor, rider weight, terrain, assist level and speed. Manufacturers publish an advertised range for each model, but real-world range is often different.

How long does it take to charge an electric bike?

Charge time depends on battery capacity and the charger. It is listed by the manufacturer for each model, and we will share it when you ask about a specific bike.

Do electric bikes require pedaling?

It depends on the model. Many e-bikes provide pedal assist, and some also have a throttle. Check the specific model's features and your local rules.
